Creative Living Hub

The site of the project is located between the two theater halls in Tehran. Approaching the brief, my first step was to explore the balance of activities in a successful, youthful, creative hub and to understand the aspirations of the different users. In this project, due to the specific features of the site, I decided to create a combination of public spaces and private spaces. Also, with the presence of valuable buildings on the site, I used modular and porous texture to protect the buildings that are existing all over the project's site and do not damage the continuity of urban space. The development will sit alongside the old valuable core buildings and act as a thriving cultural epicenter, inspiring emerging designers and artists, and attracting visitors to the area. I quickly established that one of the key ingredients for a flourishing design scene, that will grow as people inhabit the area, is an affordable space designed to inspire creativity.
